Smart.fm


As I mentioned in my last Post Smart.fm is a fantastic resource for anyone looking to start learning Japanese or test their skills. To give you an idea of the kind of applications available on smart.fm here are some screenshots and info:


Master Hiragana

‘The hiragana syllabary is mainly used in combination with kanji (in which case they’re known as okurigana) to form word endings. They are also used to write words with Japanese origins, a number of adjectives and adverbs, grammatical particles, and to provide phonetic transcriptions of kanji (in which case they’re called either furigana or rubi depending on whether they’re written directly after the kanji – usually in parentheses – or directly above, in a smaller size).’

Japanese Core 2000:Step 1

Here’s the first Step of our Japanese Core 2000 Series. This Goal covers 200 of the most basic words in Japanese.
With these first 200 items, you’ll learn: essential verbs such as する (to do), 行く (to go), 見る (to look); words you can use to talk about yourself, your family, and others; seasons, numbers, dates; and words related to learning Japanese.’
